Step 1: Using the Timer

The timer is extremely easy to use. You can track time in three mouse clicks (or in two mouse clicks if you use Auto Stop/Start).

Go to the Timer view (click the Timer button image\timer.jpg on the side shortcut bar).

To start tracking time:

1.     Select the task name from the list and enter a Description (optional).

2.     Click the Start image\start.jpg or Start from Last image\sfl.jpg buttons.

To stop tracking time:

1.     Click the Stop button image\stop.jpg. When you click this button, your time entry will be stored in the Timesheet view and you can edit it there if necessary.

That’s it! Do this while you work and you won’t have the headache of manually entering your time. Plus, you don’t have to waste productive time filling out your timesheet at the end of the week because the task is already done.

Still not convinced, that’s OK because you can enter bulk time. Just go to the next step to learn how to quickly enter for an entire week.
