Timesheet view

 

 

All time entered is saved in this Timesheet view. From this view, you can add, edit and delete timesheet information. It shows detailed time entries for any date range.

Add a new time entry:

 

1.    Select View, Timesheet from the menu (or click image\timesheet.jpg button on the side shortcut bar).

2.    Click the Add button. image\add.jpg

Notes

Ü    Required fields in Track-IT light will appear with an asterisk (*) to the left of the field name and must be filled in.

Ü    After clicking the Add button, the start time and date for the new time entry will continue from that of the highlighted entry on the Timesheet view. For example; if a time entry spanning from 8:00AM to 11:00AM on Sept 15th was highlighted when the Add button was pressed, the default start time and date for the new time entry will be 11:00AM on Sept 15th.

 

3.    Select the timesheet entry Date from the calendar.

4.    You can either enter start and end times or bulk time:

Option A: Enter start and end times:

1. Enter the Start time (hour:minutes).

2. Enter the End time (hour:minutes).

Option B: Enter total bulk time:

1. Enter the Total number of hours in the Duration box.

 

5.    Select a Project and Task from the list.

Ü    Type the first letter of the Project name you’re looking for.

 

6.    Enter a Description if desired.

7.    Select the Billable option if the time transaction is billable. The default setting displayed for the Billable checkbox will change depending on the project selected. The default setting for each project is configured at the project structure level and can only be modified by the project manager using Track-IT pro or Track-IT pro web.

8.    If required, select the appropriate Overtime Rates.

9.    Click OK when done.

Ü    If you want to enter time against a project that you’ve removed from the list, click the Display All button at the bottom of the Add popup screen. You can also temporarily remove items from the display list,

 

 

Task Progress Statistics

Task Progress information is displayed in the Add Time entry screen. This information displays a task’s progress against budgeted time and the timesheet entry tool user’s estimate.

 

Click on a task to display its Task Progress information. If a task is a global task then "No Estimate information available for this Task" appears.

Task Progress description

Ü    The task’s scheduled Start and Finish dates. The Task start and finish dates can be changed in the Project Budgets and Gantt views in Track-IT pro.

Ü    BudgetActual. Displays the Budgeted hours required to complete a task, the Actual hours worked against that task and the difference. Note that Budgeted hours are entered in the Estimated Hours column of the Project Budgets view in Track-IT pro web or Track-IT pro.

Ü    Displays the employees Estimate to Complete entered in the Estimates view of Track-IT light or Track-IT web edition. Changes made to the Estimate to Complete are sent to Track-IT pro and Track-IT pro web and are displayed in the Project Budgets view.

 

 

 

To edit a time entry:

 

1.    Select View, Timesheet from the menu (or click image\timesheet.jpg button on the side shortcut bar).

2.    Click the Edit button image\edit.jpg (or double-click any row).

3.    Select the Date for the time entry from the calendar.

4.    You can either edit start and end times or duration time.

5.    Select a Project and Task from the list.

Ü    Type the first letter of the Project name you’re looking for then highlight the task.

Ü    If you want to enter time against a project that you’ve removed from the list, click the Display All button at the bottom of the Add popup screen. You can also temporarily remove items from the display list

6.    Enter a Description if desired.

7.    Select the Billable option if the time transaction is billable or deselect this option if it’s non-billable.

8.    If required, select the appropriate Overtime Rates.

9.    Click OK when done.

 

 

To delete a time entry:

 

1.    Select View, Timesheet from the menu (or click image\timesheet.jpg button on the side shortcut bar).

2.    Select the row.

Ü    You can use the buttons on the toolbar to quickly move to the first image\first.jpg, next image\next.jpg, previous image\previous.jpg or last image\last.jpg row.

3.    Click image\delete.jpg to delete the highlighted row or select Delete All from the Actions menu to delete all the displayed rows.
